Round 1 – Power Levels
For those of you who are fans of the Dragon Ball Z franchise you may know that the title of this round is a reference to the term of “power levels”, however this round will not only be analysing their respective levels of power but will also be judging which of the two have greater strength in power then the other, so let’s begin.
Goku is widely known both in the East and the West as being a ridiculously powerful anime character as shown in the anime Dragon Ball Z; he showcases a variety of powerful attacks such as the Kamehameha, the Kaioken and the Spirit Bomb. These attacks are all created from the source of his ki which is and inner power found within ones soul, ki allows people to generate large quantities of energy and use it as a weapon in which Goku does just that. Goku is also a member of the Saiyans, an alien race of elite warriors that obtain the ability to ascend into a form known as the Super Saiyans, this form enables a Saiyan to harness more energy within. When Goku is in Super Saiyan form he is able to increase ki power further by ascending into the various Super Saiyan levels with Super Saiyan 4 being the highest. Goku uses no weapons with the exception of his hyper pole that he has never used since his teenage years; he instead rather uses his ki or his fists to solve problems. He has had his fair share of battles ranging from humans to aliens to cybernetic organisms to pink blobs, and with every enemy that had crossed his path Goku was always there to step up to the challenge. However even though Goku seems to be the Superman of anime, he does possess some shocking weaknesses.
For instance one weakness he has would be his Saiyan Pride which is something that most if not all Saiyans have, though only the most cocky and arrogant Saiyans showcase this Goku does as well, in times when Goku has the upper hand over an opponent there is a guarantee that Goku will merely toy with the enemy rather than finish them off. Most of the time however this causes the enemy to regain their strength, thus losing all momentum that Goku had. Another would be his mercy on others, as he shows mercy to all of his enemies’ even ones as deadly as Lord Frieza, this causes his enemies to take advantage at times and gain the upper hand. Goku has also suffered from the pain of death many times from his adversaries and has returned various times thanks to the mystical powers of the Dragon Balls, though this should not remove anything from Goku’s overall power as many of his deaths were necessary sacrifices to ensure the safety of Earth, overall Goku is an amazing warrior whose power level is indeed OVER 9000! But with tired gags aside let’s turn to his opponent.
Alucard is well known for being one of the most bad-ass characters in all of anime history, mainly from his actions and personality alone. He like Goku has a wide array of abilities however none of which involve inner strength like ki, instead he highly makes use of his pistols to slay his enemies. Alucard also belong in the breed known as the Vampires, legendary creatures who possess enhanced abilities that far exceed those of an average human; however Alucard is different to all the other vampires. Alucard has proven himself to be the strongest and most powerful vampire in his entire race, even known to be the King of the Vampires. As said before Alucard possess a large quantity of powers such as teleportation, phasing, gravity manipulation, hypnosis and many others, Alucard does not use many of these abilities as he has never met an opponent worthy enough for him to reveal them. Like Goku, Alucard can ascend into greater forms of power known as The Control ART Restriction System, a coded system that allows Alucard to release his powers in various levels with Level 0 being the highest. Level 0 allows Alucard to release his full potential and unleash hell on earth as he summons an army of over 3 million of his un-dead familiars by his side to join him in battle, however only his master can release this seal. Unlike Goku, Alucard does not worry over things such as death as he is physically immortal, however even though he is physically immortal he is still able to die as Alucard obtains the lives of every person he kills thus calculating his life to over 3 million times. Even when reduced to blood and burnt flesh Alucard is still able to regenerate back into his full self.
When comparing Goku’s Super Saiyan to Alucard’s Restriction System it is hard to tell which is superior, however with the current analysis there is an obvious winner, as we are measuring which character has a stronger level of power it’s safe to base this round over their ultimate forms. Alucard’s Level 0 is completely devastating as he summons an army of the un-dead at his whim; however Goku’s Super Saiyan 3 (SSJ4 will not be included because that form is featured within Dragon Ball GT, as this battle will only feature the Goku of the end of the Buu Saga and no further) form has more power than all of Alucards army 10 times over, I am sorry to say that Goku has Alucard beat in power levels as Goku’s Super Saiyan form has shown to completely incinerate his enemies in an instant, compared to Alucard’s army it is safe to say that Goku’s power is able to wipe it out with ease.
Round 2 – Killing Potential
This round is simply based around something that both Goku and Alucard implement in the midst of their epic battles, killing potential. Starting with Goku he is at a disadvantage in this round as he is a merciful warrior showing mercy to the most evil and powerful opponents, with that being said this would even include the likes of Alucard himself as his form and personality itself is nothing less than brutality and violence. Alucard has no morals when it comes to murder and regrets nothing after killing his victims, though he mainly only kills ghouls and other vampires he would always face a big challenge and deliver the final blow. Though many times when he is faced with a powerful adversary he would give them the upper hand and see their full potential, until he finally goes in for the brutal kill.
But just because Alucard has no qualms with killing doesn’t make the fact that Goku has actually killed before, when it came to it, when all hope was lost and when it came to the last resort Goku would then have to kill his enemy like Kid Buu for example. When he killed Kid Buu however he wished that he would be reincarnated as a kinder and better person, which shows that even against the worst enemy Goku still shows mercy and kindness. However the fact of the matter is that Alucard has better killing potential as he does not wait for the last possible second nor wait for the last resort, Alucard always gets the job done when it is necessary and that is why Alucard is superior to Goku at killing potential. Even though Goku will kill his enemy if need be, he is not a killing machine.
Round 3 – 1v1 Situation
Scenario: Goku is seen training in the Wastelands with his son Goten, however Gohan and Videl appear in their Saiyaman costumes and informs Goku of a strange man requesting Goku’s presence, Gohan tells of what had occurred in the city. While he was patrolling the city with Videl they had confronted two thugs that were robbing a grocery store, Videl was the first on the scene but finds a man dressed in red with a red hat that arrives and kills both men. Gohan then appears to meet Videl, she tells Gohan of what had occurred, Gohan then goes to thank the red man for his courageous actions, the man replies and tells him that he has arrived to the city to meet a strong opponent by the name of Goku after overhearing of his amazing achievements. Gohan then asks how he knows his father but instead requests his presence immediately. After Goku hears this, he rushes over to meet this man face to face, Goku then asks the man who he is, the man then introduces himself as Alucard. Alucard explains that he has been searching for a worthy opponent for centuries and has recently overheard of Goku’s outstanding power whilst crossing a few towns and villages, Alucard then challenges Goku to a fight to the death or he will personally destroy the city, Goku believing this to be an interesting challenge accepts nonetheless.
Goku then asks for a more open terrain away from civilians, Alucard accepts this as both travel to the Wastelands, Alucard begins to taunt Goku egging him on for a fight, Goku does not take Alucards words to heart and simply jokes around whilst he plans his attack. Alucard then dares Goku to give him his best attack, Goku simply walks to Alucard and punches him, Alucard is sent flying into a mountain that soon becomes a pile of rubble. Goku then rushes over and apologizes to Alucard as he expected him to block or evade the attack, Alucard then jumps up from the rubble and begins to shoot Goku with his dual wield pistols, however the bullets appear to have little to no damage to Goku as he merely refers to them as small stings, even when hit with mercury ignition bullets. Alucard with a huge grin on his face is excited over this battle as he has finally found an opponent worthy of his calibre.
Alucard realizes that he must increase his power in order to match up to Goku’s, so Alucard releases his Restriction System to Level 3 and sends his hellhound arm on Goku, Goku then stops the hound with his arms and pushes it back with a ki blast. Alucard’s Master Integra arrives to observe the battle to ensure Alucard’s survival, she then releases Alucard's R.S. to Level 1 to hasten the fight, Alucard then tranforms into his Level 1 State of Release, Goku is intrigued and shows Alucard his Super Saiyan form. Alucard and Goku engage in hand to hand combat, Goku quickly finds that he cannot land a single punch on Alucard as he phases through all of Goku’s fast attacks, Goku tries to increase his speed however Alucard manages to dodge all his attacks with the use of his ability to predict the immediate future. Goku then flies backwards and shoots an array of ki blasts. Alucard then teleports away from the blast and attempts to sneak attack Goku, however Goku senses Alucard’s energy and uses instant transmission to escape. Alucard begins to toy with Goku by reading his mind and create the illusion that he is Gohan, however the real Gohan is heard from a far watching the battle unfold telling him that it’s an illusion. Goku then snaps out of it and ascends to Super Saiyan 2, Goku begins to gain a fraction of the upper hand over Alucard as he blasts Alucard with a massive Kamehameha, however the blast only caught Alucards top half of his body that had appeared to be completely incinerated with his bottom half remaining. Goku and the others are stunned but Alucard manages to regenerate his body and regains his full figure, Alucard realizes he must end the battle, Alucard then teleports behind Goku and attempts to suck his blood and turn him into a Vampire; however Goku uses instant transmission and narrowly escapes. Alucard then asks if this is Goku’s greatest form, Goku then replies that it is not and decides to reveal his strongest form being Super Saiyan 3, Alucard is very impressed as he begs his master to fully release Alucard’s power as she does just that, Alucard is then released into his Level 0 State of Release and unleashes his entire army of un-dead souls.
Alucard then appears to wear a suit of armour whilst holding a sword and charges his army towards Goku, Goku then fears for his friends and warns them to evacuate the island, they all do so with the exception of Gohan and Goten who stay to assist their father with the un-dead soldiers, Alucard continues to unleash his minions. Over time the Saiyan Warriors grow tired as endless waves of enemies charge, with Goku completely down he then hatches one last plan, he then uses instant transmission to send him and Alucard to a distant planet, Alucard, Goku and all of Alucard’s army are taken to this planet. Alucard is shocked to find out he is on a new planet, Goku then flies up to gather energy for his Spirit Bomb, Alucard then asks what Goku is doing, Goku then pleads that he is dying and has one last attack in store, Alucard intrigued by his statement allows Goku to charge his attack as he wants them both to unleash their powers at full force. Alucard prepares his army whilst Goku charges the Spirit Bomb; Goku then throws the Spirit Bomb to Alucard as his army attempt to destroy it along with Goku. It is revealed that the Spirit Bomb had wiped out both Alucard and the entire planet and that Goku had been saved by the Supreme Kai, Goku then returns to Earth after saving it once again. Integra then looks up into the sky believing that Alucard will rise again.
